Zavin Smith is a dedicated professional with a robust background in higher education advancement. Holding a BA in integrative studies and a certificate of information technology from 2000, followed by an MA in telecommunications and a certificate of graduate studies in leadership from 2003, Smith has consistently demonstrated his commitment to fostering educational excellence and community engagement.
In his current role as assistant vice president of annual and constituent giving and strategic initiatives at George Mason University, Smith leads efforts to secure significant philanthropic support for various university programs. His responsibilities include overseeing the annual giving program, the Office of Constituent Giving and Strategic Initiatives, and the Office of Parent and Family Philanthropy. Smith's fundraising efforts are directed towards supporting university research, the Honors College, the Office of Access, Compliance, and Community, interfaith initiatives, and LGBTQIA initiatives.
