Rachel Lindsey

Rachel Lindsey is a career development professional with more than a decade of experience supporting students and alumni in navigating academic and career decisions. As assistant director of career education at George Mason University Career Services, she manages a portfolio of career preparation courses reaching more than 500 students annually and oversees a remote team of career advisors. She led the transition of George Mason’s career curriculum to online delivery and significantly expanded access through asynchronous options.
Lindsey collaborates closely with faculty to integrate career development into academic programs and has advanced initiatives that help College of Humanities and Social Sciences students translate their studies into meaningful career pathways. She is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventory practitioner and was recognized with the 2024 Exceptional Support Award for innovative solutions and service excellence.
Previously, she served as a career advisor at American University and has taught both English and student transition programs at the college level. A three-time George Mason alum, Lindsey holds master’s degrees in both counseling and English, and a BA in English. She also serves on the George Mason Hillel Community Board, and she mentors students through the NoVa Summer Network Program.
