Séléna Batchily-Amon

BA Global Affairs '17 

Séléna Batchily-Amon is an experienced young professional whose career reflects a deep commitment to technology, innovation, empowerment, and sustainable development in West Africa.  

Batchily-Amon serves as project management officer in the office of the CEO of Orange Côte d’Ivoire, the leading telecommunication company in the country and across the African continent. In this role she brings a strong expertise in project management, in driving executive strategy, organizational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. She is a trusted advisor to c-suite executives, ensuring alignment between high-level vision and operations. She also brings high communication and public relations skills and spearheads strategic innovative projects on digital transformation.  

Prior to that role Batchily-Amon worked at the World Bank as a research analyst consultant focusing on projects in Mali, Niger, Tchad and Guinea, while also working for the communication and partnerships division on shareholder engagement, specifically the youth and parliamentarians.  

She also worked at as a consultant for the United Nations Capital Development Fund focusing on innovative approaches to financing energy connections for low-income homes in Senegal. In both roles, she was able to showcase her strong data analysis, market research and strategic insight development to support business decisions.  

Beyond those roles, Batchily-Amon is a passionate advocate for female and youth empowerment in Africa. At Orange she plays a key role through her leadership by bridging corporate excellence and community impact.  

Batchily-Amon earned her bachelor of arts in global affairs with a specialization in international development and a minor in economics from George Mason University. She also holds a master in public administration from Columbia University with a minor in economic and political development and a specialization in managementanalysis, monitoring and evaluation.
