Brandon Thompson is a career public servant with more than 13 years of experience leading oversight activities and reporting of federal government operations. He currently serves as a project manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General. He leads diverse teams of auditors and analysts to review the quality and integrity of high-risk program activities in the Veterans Health Administration, the largest integrated health care system in the United States, which helps nine million veterans annually.
For Thompson, the true reward in his work is the opportunity to serve his team as they achieve their goals and make a lasting impact. Thompson's collective work has contributed to refined business processes, legislative ideas, and improved performance and accountability in areas such as veterans’ healthcare infrastructure and education benefit programs, police governance, information technology, and international broadcasting. He finds time to actively volunteer in functions for children, his alma mater, and the community. He also mentors and coaches students and others. Most importantly, Thompson is a proud father of two children and a lucky husband.
