BA Integrative Studies '04

Sarah Godlewski is Wisconsin’s thirty-sixth State Treasurer. She took office on January 7, 2019 and serves as the state’s chief financial officer. Since being elected, Treasurer Godlewski has tackled myriad critical economic challenges facing Wisconsinites. She has led a $1.4 billion dollar trust fund to provide record breaking distributions that support public schools, financed over 200 infrastructure projects across the state to rebuild roads, and remove lead water laterals. She created a homeownership program that is helping Wisconsinites buy, fix and stay in their homes.

Prior to serving as treasurer, Godlewski co-founded an impact investment firm called MaSaPartners and was also a founding member of WE Capital, which provides financial and human capital to female entrepreneurs. Treasurer Godlewski started her career consulting at the Pentagon where she spent almost a decade working on various strategic planning and performance management projects that helped save taxpayers millions of dollars.

The Treasurer is a proud fifth-generation Wisconsinite and is a Green Bay Packer shareholder. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband Max, their three-year-old son Hartley, and their rescue dog, Tanner.
