Alex Antram

Alex Antram is a conservation engagement professional with 14 years of experience in nonprofit communications and outreach, environmental education, and philanthropy focused on protecting the planet and its people.  
 
She completed undergraduate and graduate work in anthropology, religious studies, and environmental conflict analysis and resolution at George Mason University and holds a master’s degree in ecological anthropology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
 
While at George Mason, Antram dedicated herself to the university’s Writing Center for four years, as both a tutor and researcher, and served as the communications liaison for the department of sociology and anthropology for two years. She also had the pleasure of working as a graduate education intern with the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute when the Smithsonian Mason School of Conservation was just being founded.

Alex has worked in central and south America, Oceania, and throughout the United States connecting people to nature. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the world with her husband, Jordan, and spending time with her cat and two dogs.
