Bio: A forty plus year career that followed a winding stream instead of a straight line path. Started in the IT industry with jobs in technology adoption, systems administration, software testing, and requirements development. Moved into information assurance as a government contractor. This evolved into management and then into leading large government contracts.
Describe how you got your first job: I was working at the Small Business Development Center at GMU. One of the incubator company owners introduced me to a friend with an opening.
If you were starting your career today, what is the one piece of advice you would give yourself? Be open to the possibilities.
