Amanda Magpiong is an Honors College student pursuing a bachelor's degree in both government and international politics and anthropology at George Mason University. Hailing from New Jersey, Magpiong embarked on her academic journey to Virginia to expand her opportunities in government and during her time at Mason discovered a love for anthropology.

Currently in her senior year, Magpiong has consistently earned her place on the dean’s list and has become a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society for political science. Beyond her studies, she actively contributes to her college community as the founder of two clubs on campus associated with national organizations (Patriot PIRG and Generation Action), she has initiated a coalition for sustainability calling for a Climate Action Plan, and she is the president of club softball. Magpiong also has held multiple jobs on campus, including undergraduate research assistant and student experience officer for Honors College Connects.

As Magpiong continues her college journey, she remains committed to finding ways to merge her passions for politics and research. She is poised to contribute meaningfully to the field of government and anthropology and hopes to make a lasting impact.
