Kendall Cade
BA Human Development and Family Science '25
Kendall Cade is an honors student at George Mason University. She is pursuing a degree in human development and family science with a minor in nonprofit studies. Hailing from Chesapeake, Virginia, she is passionate about reinvesting in her community by supporting vulnerable and low-income families, with a career focus on marriage and family therapy.
Cade has maintained a 3.95 GPA, earning Dean’s List honors every semester and received the 2023 Points Tax Law Scholarship in recognition of her community service and dedication to veterans. She has expanded her skill set by becoming proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and completing Darkness to Light’s stewards of children training, which focuses on preventing child sexual abuse. Her commitment to service is evident in her work with Northern Virginia Family Services, where she assists immigrant youth at risk of gang involvement, as well as through initiatives like mentoring first-year students and organizing a book drive to reignite youth interest in reading.
Beyond academics, Cade has been active in campus life, serving as a dancer for Emerald Desires and participating in organizations such as the ASL Club, Special Education Council, Black Student Alliance, and My Natural, promoting cultural awareness and diversity. She also serves as advertising & outreach chair for Mugs and Meditation.
As graduation approaches, Cade remains driven by her passions for advocacy, cultural understanding, and academic excellence. Her goal is to found housing and domestic violence shelters, where she aims to make a lasting impact on her community through facilitating the reduction of trauma and victimization in society.
