Sharrell Hassell-Goodman

Sharrell Hassell-Goodman is assistant dean for student engagement and belonging, office of the dean of students, New York University. She was previously a postdoctoral research fellow and adjunct faculty member at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated in 2023 from the Higher Education Program, specializing in women and gender studies and social justice.
Hassell-Goodman began teaching courses in George Mason’s School of Integrative Studies in the fall of 2015. As a graduate student, she participated in several research projects and was the inclusive excellence graduate ambassador and student voice co-chair. She has been an active member of the George Mason community, serving as a facilitator for the Revolutionizing Research for Social Change workshop at the Summer Institute in Antiracist and Decolonizing Research. Hassell-Goodman has been a recipient of the CHSS Adjunct Faculty Award, Higher Education Outstanding Doctoral Student, and Center for Culture, Equity and Empowerment Spirit of King, Resounding Voice Award.
Hassell-Goodman is a proud first-generation college student and an alumna of George Mason University.
