Jeanie Kahnke, BA English '90, MA Telecom Production '99, is a proud George Mason alum.
She grew up in Minnesota and moved to the Washington, D.C. area at age 23. Soon after, Jeanie began attending George Mason at night while pursuing professional jobs during the day. Her career has included positions in public relations, marketing, and media production. While living in the DC area for almost 20 years, she worked at an international PR firm, followed by a national trade association. Jeanie subsequently moved to Louisville, Kentucky where she spent 20+ years at the Muhammad Ali Center, serving as the Senior Director of External Relations and Partnerships. Today she identifies as “mostly retired.”
Jeanie believes that supporting and staying connected with George Mason is essential. She gives credit to the university for opening professional doors for her, instilling confidence, and broadening her world. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm and skills in ways that help enhance and expand alumni engagement and contribute to George Mason’s broader objectives.
