Laura Hampton

Laura Hampton, BA International Studies ’95, is a lifelong Northern Virginia resident, community leader, educator, and certified project management professional with more than 20 years of experience in the federal sector. A proud George Mason University alumna, she has built her career around service, leadership, and community engagement.

Laura currently serves on the board of Keep the Park Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, where she and other volunteers work to advance environmental stewardship, civic pride, and community partnerships. She also served as an elected member of the Manassas Park City Council.

Committed to developing future leaders, Laura is an adjunct professor at Strayer University, mentoring adult learners and working professionals. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from George Mason University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership from Liberty University. Her doctoral research examined decision-making among local elected officials.
