Faculty Affairs Assistant
Jennie Bush joined the Dean's Office in October 2021 as the Faculty Affairs Assistant. In this role, she serves as the college's primary point of contact for matters related to Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation compliance. Jennie collaborates with the Office of the Provost and CHSS departments and programs to ensure that faculty meet all credentialing requirements.
She provides administrative support to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, including managing calendars and maintaining records for unit bylaws, workload guidelines and joint appointment MOUs. Jennie also serves as the college's liaison to the university for graduation planning and oversees the CHSS Spring Degree Celebration and publication of the celebration program.
Jennie brings more than fifteen years of project management and community engagement experience in the public sector. Before joining George Mason, she worked as a scheduling manager for a computer technology company and later for a Fairfax County nonprofit focused on preventing homelessness and hunger.
Jennie is a graduate of The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Political Science.
