Associate Director of Events and Community Engagement
Heather Moss is the Associate Director of Events and Community Engagement in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at George Mason University. She began her Mason career in 2011 as an event coordinator in the Office of University Events, where she supported student organizations in planning and executing campus programs. In 2017, she transitioned to conference management, taking on responsibility for university-wide conferences and major events such as graduation.
Heather graduated from George Mason’s BIS program in Well-Being in Education in May 2023. In her current role as Associate Director, she collaborates with CHSS departments and centers to develop and implement strategies for events and community engagement. She leads event planning initiatives, oversees the CHSS mentoring program (Linkup), and supports the team in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospects and donors—all with the goal of strengthening alumni and community connections.
