Heather E Moss

Assistant Director of Events and Community Engagement

Heather Moss is the Assistant Director of Events and Community Engagement in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Heather joined George Mason University in 2011 as an event coordinator in the Office of University Events. There she worked closely with on-campus student organizations and assisted them in facilitating their events. In 2017 Heather transitioned to conference management, where she oversaw the management of campus-wide conferences and large university-wide events such as graduation. She is currently a BIS student completing her degree in Well-Being in Education in May.

As an assistant director, Heather partners with CHSS departments and centers to plan and implement development strategies regarding events and community engagement. She is the team lead for event planning and CHSS mentoring (Linkup). She helps the team identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward prospects and donors and improve alumni and community engagement in her role.
