President Trump's FY27 Budget Request

The White House has released the President’s FY2027 Budget Request (PBR) to Congress. The request includes a $2.2 trillion base request in defense discretionary spending, a 28 percent increase from FY2026 and $660.1 billion in nondefense discretionary request, a 10 percent reduction from FY2026.

Two faculty from the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (RRCHNM) have recently received awards for their digital projects. Jessica Otis has been awarded the Renaissance Society of America’s Digital Innovation Award for 2026 for her project, Death by Numbers, and Stephen Robertson won the Angel David Nieves Book Award from the American Studies Association and received an honorable mention for the Mary L. Dudziak Digital Legal History Prize from the American Society for Legal History for his project, Harlem in Disorder.
