Course is designed as introduction to the resources of the university and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences specifically for residential first year students as a learning community (LC). Exposes students to the faculty, staff, co-curricular opportunities, and the range of degree options and career pathways available across the college. Gives students tools and resources for goal-setting and decision-making for personal, academic, and career success. Offered by Humanities & Social Sciences. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 3 credits.

Course is designed to support first-time undergraduate learning assistants in CHSS courses. Students will learn practical skills, knowledge, and conceptual frameworks for effective peer teaching. Prior to enrolling in CHSS 490, students must receive faculty approval to serve as an undergraduate learning assistant in a CHSS course. Offered by Humanities & Social Sciences. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 3 credits.
