Inclusive Excellence Plan
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is committed to creating a vibrant, inclusive excellence (IE)-centered academic environment. Building on university-wide inclusive excellence efforts, CHSS has crafted an Inclusive Excellence Plan with targeted objectives across five key areas: (a) curriculum development, student recruitment, and success; (b) faculty and staff recruitment strategies; (c) professional development for faculty and staff; (d) enhancement of academic research and practice; and (e) increased engagement with the campus and wider community. In partnership with the CHSS Inclusive Excellence Council, the CHSS team is dedicated to the plan's implementation and to monitoring progress toward meeting these goals.
To learn more about IE work in CHSS, we invite you to read our 2021-24 Inclusive Excellence Plan and view the slides of our past Inclusive Excellence Townhalls. If you have any suggestions or questions about our initiatives, we invite you to contact any member of our IE Team.
