PhD in History

Hannah LeComte

Hannah LeComte is PhD candidate and graduate teaching assistant. Her dissertation explores girls’ environmental politics, consumer culture, and activism in the United States from the 1970s through the early 2000s. Her research also includes media history, public history, and gender studies. She holds an MA in Public History from Duquesne University, and a BA in History and a BFA in Ballet from the University of Oklahoma. Her public history work includes “Out and About in Northern Virginia,” a digital project dedicated to chronicling recent LGBTQ+ history in the region.
