Afra S. Ahmad, 2012
Afra Saeed Ahmad, BA Psychology '08, MA '12, PhD '16, is currently the director of the online master of professional studies in applied industrial and organizational psychology. Ahmad has been a long-time Patriot and began her days at George Mason University in 1999 as an eighth-grade student and participant in the Early Identification Program (EIP), which provides support to first-generation students pursuing higher education. She completed her BA in psychology in 2008 and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to the United Arab Emirates through support of Mason’s Postgraduate Fellowship Office in 2009.
Ahmad returned to complete her MA in 2012 and PhD in 2016 at Mason’s top-ranked Industrial and Organizational Psychology program. After her doctoral studies, she served as a faculty member in the School of Business in Dubai for three years after which she returned to Mason to join the psychology department in her current position.
