Laura Harrington

Laura is keenly interested in ensuring that those most vulnerable benefit from sustainable energy and environmental solutions. In February of 2014, she will be going to rural villages in Haiti to study the social and economic impacts of solar electrification. In a professional role, Laura has been working for the National Renewable Energy Lab on project initiatives for the Army's Energy Task Force, in the areas of policy, markets and legislative initiatives. As part of the US-India Energy Dialogue, sponsored by the Department of Energy, she co-wrote a paper on opportunities and barriers for micro-grid development in India. More recently, Laura has been part of a team providing assistance to U.S. Trade Agencies as part of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiently Export Initiative (RE4I) in providing project development to support clean energy development worldwide.
