Plans after graduation: Laborde plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree in clinical psychology and has a long-term goal of building a career in family counseling.  

Most impactful course: PSYC-461-DL6 : Supporting Youth Mental Health Workforce. “I was incredibly honored to be accepted into the core Americorp group and gain access to thousands of dollars' worth of training and experience, the most impactful of which is the Sources of Strength Train the Trainer training, which focuses on community building and suicide prevention in middle and high schools.” 

Advice for future Patriots: “Get involved! Say yes to every opportunity that comes your way.” 

Building connections through professional experience 

Laborde was involved on campus through her employment and her internship at the Center for Community Mental Health. “All of my experiences taught me some good work ethic, brought me connections, and made my time at Mason truly enjoyable.”
