What was the most impactful class you took in your major?
The most impactful classes I have taken in my major have been CRIM 491 and CRIM 492, as they allowed me to explore and engage with research in my field my major had to offer while gaining an inside perspective on the process of research, rather than just reading and analyzing other research papers.
What activities were you involved in during your time at George Mason that impacted you?
I was involved in a few part-time jobs at George Mason including being a Research Assistant, Admissions Outreach Fellow, Learning Assistant, Ambassador, and Peer Mentor, and an internship as a Data Center Security Specialist at Amazon Web Services.
What is your most memorable moment at George Mason inside or outside of the classroom?
Some of the more memorable moments from my time at George Mason included forming connections with individuals while waiting in lines for a concert, being in the same organization, or working on different events through shared interests or experiences.
As you are reflecting on your time at George Mason, what is one piece of advice you would give a student who is just starting off on their George Mason journey?
Do not be afraid to leave your comfort zone, but do not be pressured to join everything that interests you. When classes start, it is essential to find a balance between your social life and completing your school or job commitments by not procrastinating assignments.
What is your next step after graduation? What are your future plans?
My next steps after graduation include getting a job in my field before considering continuing my education later for a PhD or JD.
