Do you have a particular standout course or professor from your time as an undergraduate student?
CRIM 400 Applied Criminal Psychology with Professor Larry Guerin and CRIM 410 Criminal Investigations with Professor Steven Remick were my favorite classes!
What activities were you involved in during your time at Mason that impacted you the most?
Being a member of Best Buddies at Mason and Lambda Alpha Epsilon were my favorite ways to get involved on campus. Both clubs allowed me to meet new people and to learn more about the Mason community. Throughout my time at Mason, I was also involved with the Office of Student Conduct as a member of the Residential Adjudication Board. This was a great way to build conflict mitigation skills in a professional setting.
Share a memorable "Mason moment."
My most memorable moments were getting internships with the Fairfax County Police Department and the US Marshals Service. These experiences provided me the opportunity to continue learning outside of the classroom.
Reflecting on your time at Mason, what is one piece of advice you would give a student who is just starting off on their Mason journey?
Be an intern! Internships are a great way to earn practical experience and gain a better understanding of job duties and roles.
What is your next step?
I am in the process with a police department. Upon graduating, I hope to start Basic Law Enforcement Training.
