Shawn Brann, 1995

Shawn Brann, BA English '95, BA Communication '95, MA Education '99, CERG Educational Leadership '06, is excited to serve George Mason as CHSS Alumni Chapter Vice President.

Brann, a native of Village, in Virginia’s historic Northern Neck, resides in Bristow, Virginia and is employed as a scrum master supporting the federal government on a large-scale financial system project at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

He is married to a fellow George Mason alum, the former Julie Wunderly, BA Sociology '95, MA Sociology '00, and has two children (Sophia, a college junior, and Tyler, a high school junior). Wunderly and Brann met at George Mason in the fall of 1992 and will celebrate their 26th anniversary in June 2024.

Brann, a former Prince William County Schools (PWCS) teacher, has also served his local community as an active parent volunteer in PWCS for over a decade. From 2016-17, he served as an acting school board member in PWCS representing the Brentsville District. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports—including a lot of George Mason basketball and Premier League soccer—and spending time with his family.
