My degree program matches my life experiences and is aligned with my strengths as well as personal interests.
My academic experiences allowed me to deeply explore and understand many aspects of human interaction and behavior, and also gain useful knowledge about human perceptions and interpretations based on their background, knowledge, and experience. This allowed me to gain additional respect and understanding towards the large and diverse social spectrum that makes up our world.
A highlight of mine I am proud of during my time at Mason includes receiving a best overall production award as well as a best cinematography awards from my department for my first two films in my media production class and also receiving local and international nominations and awards for the last film I developed in conjunction with a public relations class campaign project: the film addressed food security issues during COVID. Also, the work I developed for the year long communication honors research program COMM490/491 was another accomplishment I am particularly proud of.
I have been especially lucky because of the support I received from all faculty members I had the pleasure of sharing my time at Mason, I am especially thankful for Professor Lance Schmeidler for his guidance and mentorship during my time as a teaching assistant. And also Dr. Catherine Wright for her kind guidance and patience as my advisor throughout my years at Mason.
I am currently enrolled in the accelerated Master’s program so I plan to continue my graduate degree while hopefully developing more films. And for my long term plans, I am exploring the possibility of teaching in a university or working as a Communications\Public Relations advisor.
