Orientation: Research and Scholarship at Mason

Mason Office of Research invites you to attend the Research and Scholarship at Mason orientation, to be held in two parts January 19th and 21st, 2021 from 1:00-4:30 pm. The orientation is designed to help faculty become more familiar with the resources available and strategies necessary to undertake extramurally supported and impact driven activities as they lay the groundwork for excellence in research, scholarship and creative work. While the orientation is designed for new faculty, all faculty are welcome to attend. Over the course of the two orientation sessions faculty will:
- Meet the Interim Vice President for Research, Innovation and Economic Impact and her leadership team as well as the Associate Deans for Research;
- Discover resources available from Research Services, Office of Sponsored Programs, and Office of Research Integrity and Assurance and the support this team can provide;
- Hear about University level Institutes and connect with their multidisciplinary teams;
- Learn about the resources provided by the Libraries, Office of Research Computing, Communications team, and others;
- Discover how recently tenured faculty navigated the early-career faculty world of research and scholarship
