Larsen Named Virginia School Psychologist of the Year

The Virginia Academy of School Psychologists (VASP) has named Virginia Gallup Larsen, MEd ’97, MA psychology ’01, graduate certificate in school psychology ’02, as the 2013 Virginia School Psychologist of the Year.

The announcement was made at the Virginia Psychological Association Fall Conference in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia.

Larsen has been a school psychologist with the Alexandria City Public Schools for 13 years. She has worked at T.C. Williams High School, George Washington Middle School, James K Polk Elementary, and she is currently at Samuel Tucker Elementary.  She came to school psychology after working for seven years in community mental health counseling and substance abuse counseling.
