Professor Trencher Wins Citizenship Award

The college is pleased to announce that Professor Susan Trencher, of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, has won the Center for Public Anthropology's Paul Farmer Global Citizenship Award. The award, named to honor an exceptional medical humanitiarian and anthropologist, recognizes Trencher's outstanding participation in Public Anthropology's Community Action Online Project.

In its announcement, the Center for Public Anthropology also noted Trencher's skill in "how she takes classroom knowledge and applies it to real world challenges, thereby encouraging students to be responsible global citizens."
