Paul Polgar, who received his M.A. from the Department of History and Art History in 2007, has been awarded one of the field's most prestigious post-doctoral fellowships by the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture for the academic years 2013-2015. Polgar has recently completed his Ph.D. at the City University of New York, submitting a dissertation entitled, "Standard Bearers of Liberty and Equality: Reinterpreting the Origins of American Abolitionism."
