Hosting events and sharing them with the community is part of the Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies’ mission; to “advance a sound and nuanced understanding of the Islamic faith, its role in world history, and its current patterns of globalization.” The center staff is pleased to announce that videos of the center’s lecture events are now available on-line.
These events, most from semester lecture series, show the presentations of world-renowned scholars discussing their research in the historical, political, and cultural dimensions of Islamic studies.
Videos are located on the events page and are open to viewing by the public. To find the events with videos, looking for the word VIDEO in the event title. Event videos will also be available on the video-viewing site, Vimeo. For instant notification on the latest uploaded event videos, viewers can follow the center on Facebook or Twitter.
