On September 1, CHSS welcomed George Mason’s new Provost, Marion Underwood, for a visit showcasing the college’s research and campus community.

Following presentations from CHSS research center directors and discussions with faculty and staff, Provost Underwood joined CHSS student ambassadors for a tour of several key Fairfax Campus locations, gaining a closer look at the spaces and experiences that shape student success.

The tour included stops at the Writing Center and Communication Center, the bioarchaeology lab, and the debate team and forensics team meeting rooms, and gave Provost Underwood a glimpse of the wide spectrum of humanities and social science activities in which our students and faculty collaborate.
