New-All faculty and researchers working with sponsored research and/or engaging in international activities (such as collaboration, co-authorship, and travel) at George Mason University will be required to take the Research Security Training annually. Each individual who is identified as senior key personnel must complete this training- this includes Co-PIs, Co-Is and any key personnel at other institutions. This training will take about 1 hour to complete and can be found in Mason Leaps.

In addition, Section 10634 of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (42 U.S.C. § 19234) requires Federal agencies to implement research security training requirement at the time of proposal submission.
