College of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty and staff recently donated 53 bags of food and 30 bags of personal care items to George Mason University's Patriot Pantry.
On November 21, a handful of CHSS staff delivered the bags to the Patriot Pantry.
Each student received:
• One bag of food containing several meals
• One bag of essential personal care items (for up to 30 students)
Sample bags were weighed and the impact was significant:
• Food bags averaged 15 lbs each—totaling approximately 795 lbs of food
• Personal care bags weighed about 10 lbs each—totaling 300 lbs of essential items
