Mary Jo Lopez Duckwitz honored as 2025 CHSS distinguished alumni in religious studies

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Mary Jo Lopez Duckwitz, BA Religious Studies '06, MAIS '09, with the Distinguished Alumni Award in religious studies. 

Lopez Duckwitz is a bilingual cultivator of people, perspectives, and projects. She manages clinical quality improvement, training, and professional development, helping organizations and individuals navigate change. A longtime adjunct instructor in Latin American politics, she also serves on her staff council to foster institutional growth and cultural development.

Certified in mindfulness meditation and DEIA, Duckwitz brings compassion and clarity to every space she enters. Since 2005, she has volunteered as a bilingual docent with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, working with youth, law, and community programs.
