The Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA), a nonprofit organization that works to promote and advance the social and behavioral sciences in federal policymaking, is collecting stories from the social and behavioral science community on how recent Executive Actions are affecting or have the potential to affect research and the scientific workforce. The shared stories will help the COSSA team as they work to meet with policymakers in Congress and other federal agencies about the impact these recent actions have had at the University and in research. COSSA policy experts advocate for sustainable federal funding for social and behavioral science research.

Stories can be submitted here and responses will remain confidential. Any stories used by COSSA will be anonymized and used anecdotally. Submission of stories is not limited to COSSA members, but George Mason University has an institutional membership.

Mason employees can request to receive exclusive members-only emails with timely updates on new developments impacting the social and behavioral sciences, analysis of pending legislation and agency policies, time-sensitive action alerts, and access to members-only resources and events like webinars, training, and opportunities to engage with policymakers.
