The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is seeking a full-time, tenure-line faculty member (tenure-track or tenured) to serve as a Faculty Fellow starting Spring 2025. This position was created as part of the college’s Inclusive Excellence plan to build a more inclusive environment in CHSS. The Faculty Fellow will work closely with the Director of Faculty Engagement and Belonging, members of the CHSS IE team, and the Director of HR.

The Faculty Fellow will support these goals through the following activities from 2/13/2025 to 5/16 2025, and from 8/25/25 to 5/16/2026:
1. Support the CHSS Inclusive Faculty Search Process
- Attend and assist with presenting the CHSS Inclusive Faculty Search Workshops
- Assist in reviewing and offering feedback on faculty search committee plans before sending them to CHSS Director of Faculty Engagement and Belonging and CHSS Director of HR for approval
- Help maintain and track faculty search progress
- Assist with evaluation and assessment of the search process
2. Assist with the CHSS Faculty Network
- Assist with the planning for the Network
- Attend Network events and meetings
- Serve as a resource to the cohort faculty
3. Support the CHSS Inclusive Excellence Plan
- Facilitate design, collection, and implementation of SMART goals
- Co-host townhall meetings, and the CHSS IE Advisory Board meetings
- Attend, as needed, meetings with departments/programs and other constituent groups on IE plans
- Provide feedback and guidance, as needed, to departments/programs and other constituent groups on IE plans
This Faculty Fellow additional administrative assignment begins on February 13th, 2025, with an end date of May 16, 2026 (no summer commitment). Compensation will include an academic year stipend of $5,000 and one course release in Spring 2026. The Faculty Fellow reports to the CHSS Director of Faculty Engagement and Belonging.
