George Mason University’s Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) has made several updates and additions to its website to include significant federal changes, including implementation of research security Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program (MFTRP) certifications, the NSPM current and pending biosketch common form, and the new Uniform Guidance provisions.
OSP made the following updates to its website:
- Pre-award Proposal Process: Updates information and regarding
- Biosketch and Current and Pending information/Foreign Security requirements for proposals, including Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP) Information sheet, updated MFTRP and NASA research security review process, current and pending/other support common form template;
- Organizational Conflict of interest certification interim process
- Sponsor Specific resources including NIH policies on Other Support and policies related to financial conflicts of interest and OSP China Restriction PI and Team Member certifications and FAQs
- Uniform Guidance October 2024 update and link to detailed Uniform Guidance page
- OMB Uniform Guidance page: Information and links to the changes to 2 CFR 200, including Federal Register notice, redline and crosswalk, Federal Agency implementation, and agency specific implementation for NASA, NSF, HHS, and DOE.
- Indirect Costs: Updates to waiver process and request form to incorporate RAMP processes and inclusion of updates frequently asked questions related to indirect costs
- Current and Pending/Other Support requirements – updated requirement by Federal agency, including EPA, NASA, NIST, NIH, NOAA, NSF, and DOE.
- Pre-award Process for Subrecipients – contains process and forms for subrecipients. Updated to include MFTRP subrecipient certification language.
