The International and Foreign Language Education office of the Department of Education will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, December 12th at 2pm to review the revised selection criteria that will apply to the FY 2026 National Resource Centers (NRC) and Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships program competitions. The webinar will discuss the differences between Comprehensive and Undergraduate NRCs under the revised regulations.
The Title VI National Resource Centers (NRC) program provides grants to establish, strengthen, and operate language and area or international studies centers that will be national resources for teaching any modern foreign language. Grants also support instruction in fields needed to provide a full understanding of the areas, regions, or countries where the languages are commonly used; research and training in international studies; language aspects of professional and other fields of study; and instruction and research on issues in world affairs. The program operates on a four-year grant cycle and the next competition will be in FY2026.
CHSS faculty are encouraged to sign up and to attend the webinar. Register here.
