Alumni Letter from Dean Jack Censer

Dear Alumnus,

You may not know this, but we at Mason spent our summer gearing up for the coming academic year. The campus may look empty, but in those air-conditioned offices, we are working to make 2009-2010 a year of connections for both students and alumni.

As the dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, I believe that it is critical that our alumni have many different ways to reconnect with former classmates and faculty. This summer, we are working with all of the different departments – from Psychology to English to History and Art History to Communication – to pull together a comprehensive list of upcoming events and social networking websites to link you in.

One event to highlight will be Alumni Weekend, October 2-4. Please come back to campus and see old friends and new construction! I hope to see you at our college party on Saturday afternoon.

Check out our Facebook page and our Twitter feed. We regularly update these sites with information about events, Department news, and fun facts about the University and its many accomplishments. I hope you will join us on these sites, and let us know what you have been up to recently.

As always, I am thankful to you for making George Mason University the place it is today. I look forward to seeing you online and on campus.

Yours in Patriot Pride,

Jack R. Censer

Dean, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
