NEH Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions or other scholarly resources.
Summer Stipends provide $6,000 for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing for projects beginning as early as May 2024. Interested faculty should review the guidelines for eligibility and program information at the NEH Summer Stipends page
NEH hosted a webinar that described the program, eligibility, the nomination processes, and suggestions for writing an effective application. The recording for this webinar is found at the NEH Summer Stipends url listed above.
