The Teagle Foundation welcomes applications for its Education for American Civic Life initiative. This program will provide up to $300,000 in funding for two- to three-year projects to help college students become informed and engaged participants in civic life. Six-month planning grants of up to $25,000 are also available.
The Teagle Foundation aims to partner with colleges and universities to develop bold initiatives that help students learn the content and history of our political system and foster their inclusion and participation within it.
They are particularly interested in two focus areas:
- Democratic thought in local history and community
- Preparation for public service
Brief concept papers are due March 1, and a selected pool of applicants will be invited to submit full proposals. Additional details can be found at The Teagle Foundation Education for American Civic Life web page.
