Shout-Outs, December 13

Congratulations to Professor Christopher Coyne, Department of Economics, for the publication of his book, In Search for Monsters to Destroy: The Folly of American Empire and Paths to Peace (Independent , December 8, 2022).

Congratulations to Assistant Professor, Susan Howard, School of Integrative Studies, who has co-authored two presentations at the annual international Behavior Change Communication Summit in Morocco, where over 2000 behavioral scientists and communication experts are gathered from around the world. Her own presentation, “The Loop Trail Quest: Game-based learning for One Health holds promise for additional public health behavior change applications,” was informed by her research at Mason, where she evaluated the impact of One Health messaging on perceptions of disease causation and compared the differences between game-based learning using simulations and videos with booklets.
