Distinguished scholar award
Christopher Koper, professor in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society and senior fellow at Mason's Center for Evidence Based Crime Policy, has been named as the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Scholar Award from the American Society of Criminology’s (ASC) Division of Policing.
International education for all students
LaNitra Berger, director of Mason's African and African American Studies program, has been recognized by the Fund for Education Abroad for her extensive work in bringing underrepresented students to international study and scholarship.
