Summer 2022 funding awards from the Office of Graduate Education 

Summer research fellowships provide financial support to graduate students during the summer term, allowing students to devote significant time to their dissertation or thesis research. The intent of the award is to foster greater professional productivity and to assist in timely degree completion.

This year, 26 CHSS graduate students were awarded summer 2022 funding from the provost's Office of Graduate Education. Thirteen doctoral students and 13 master's students were funded, up from 18 CHSS students funded last summer. Doctoral students were awarded $8,000 awards and master's students were awarded $6,000. Students won awards from a wide variety of disciplines, including from history, cultural studies, communication, sociology, anthropology, English, creative writing, linguistics, and psychology.
