George Mason University is preparing to host a virtual graduation on December 17, 2020, at 2 pm, recognizing all of the graduates of 2020: spring, summer, and fall. The event is a full graduation, with conferral of degrees.
The event will take place on GMU-TV, and will feature remarks from Mason president Gregory Washington and CHSS alumna, the Honorable Charniele L. Herring, Delegate, Virginia House of Delegates.
Following the university-wide event, the college will host a special event for its students, with remarks from Dean Ann Ardis and individual student slides personalized by each student.
At 3:30 pm, the college will host a recognition of its doctoral graduates. The event will be hosted, live, by Dean Ardis, and include pre-recorded and live remarks given by President Washington, Provost Ginsberg, and the college’s Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs, Marguerite Rippy. Each student’s name will be read aloud by Professor Mills Kelly, and at the conclusion of the ceremony, we will share a toast in honor of our graduates' hard work and achievement!
