Mason Forensics Team (Competitive Speech)

 

The nationally competitive George Mason University Forensics Program (Mason’s competitive speech team) is pleased to announce Graduate Assistant positions for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Responsibilities will include traveling to tournaments, helping with coaching assignments, recruiting, helping with tournament hosting, and assisting with the educational and civic engagement of our competitors. Graduate assistants will also have opportunities to conduct research, partake in professional development, as well as work with award-winning coaches and nationally-placed competitors.

Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time MA/MS/MFA student in a George Mason University graduate degree program for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Students must be in good academic standing, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and not receive any unsatisfactory grades for each semester they are to hold an assistantship or lectureship.

Other requirements include: a valid driver’s license, competitive experience in forensics, preferably on the collegiate level, and a demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and educational environment.

 

Dates: August 25, 2019 to May 24, 2020

Stipend: $14,000

Tuition benefit: 12 credits (6 credits per semester)
