Share your well-being story

Well-being is more than just a concept – it’s a way of living. At George Mason University, we aim to thrive together as a well-being university community. We want to know how you’re doing on your human journey toward greater well-being. Sharing your story will inspire all of us to learn more about well-being and incorporate well-being practices into our lives. Thanks for sharing your story with our community!

Your story can relate to any of the dimensions of well-being defined by our well-being university initiative (physical, career/purpose, social, community, psychological and financial). Let us know how you’re experiencing a life of vitality, purpose, resilience, and/or engagement in one specific way that has changed your life for the better. A story about vitality could be about building a positive relationship, exercising, eating healthy foods, or getting enough sleep. Writing about purpose could involve describing how you clarified a value that’s important to you, or what happened when you acted on one of your values. A story about resilience could show how you have grown, or are currently growing through, challenges or adversity. Writing about engagement could involve explaining one way that your personal or professional life improved when you used your strengths, or how you were able to make a positive impact in someone else’s life through service.

A simple, brief story works well. We can post stories of up to 500 words. If you want to get creative, you can include a link to a photo or video that illustrates your story. Feel free to submit as many stories as you would like about different lessons you have learned about well-being on your journey. Thanks for your contributions!

May we share your name and the story, photos, and video you submit on our websites, social media, and in our research and data collection? If yes, please check “yes” when you fill out the form.
