As an accomplished student in the foreign languages program, Ninamarie developed an intensive research project and campaign against social media misinformation that traditionally targets Spanish-speaking Latinx communities in the United Sates.

A lifelong interest in the environment and a career goal of marine research and conservation led Cassidy to CHSS's environmental and sustainability studies program after completing an associate's degree.
LaTonia designed this unique degree program to be inclusive of her 28-years of experience in the mental health field as a financial specialist for Fairfax County, and succeeded in completing the degree full time while caring for her parents, her children, and her community through volunteer work.
