George Mason University invites you to celebrate your achievements at the Winter Commencement Ceremony on December 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the EagleBank Arena. Detailed information on the ceremony and the Winter Grad Fair (to purchase graduation regalia, invitations, diploma frames, etc.) can be found on the University’s graduation website.
Commencement is a university-wide ceremony for students who have completed all degree requirements. At this ceremony, Doctoral candidates will be recognized by name and will cross the stage to receive their degree.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree candidates will NOT be announced individually or cross the stage at Commencement. These graduates will be recognized as a group by their degree and major. (See note below.)
Patriot Procession
The Patriot Procession is a fun, celebratory experience for all graduates. Graduates are invited to sign up for a time slot to come to the EagleBank Arena with their guests, have their names called, cross the graduation stage, and be professionally photographed. Tickets Are Required for the Winter Commencement Ceremony
Tickets for the Winter Commencement Ceremony are required for guests. Doctoral candidates will be allowed up to 8 guest tickets and all other graduates will be allowed up to 4 tickets. The deadline to register for guest tickets is November 30. The Winter Commencement Ceremony will also be live-streamed.

CHSS conducts a Degree Celebration each May to recognize and honor those students who have competed all degree requirements during the academic year 2022-23. Students who graduate in Fall 2022 are invited to attend the May 2023 Degree Celebration.
The Degree Celebration Ceremony for CHSS students provides an opportunity to be recognized by name, walk across the stage and have a professional photograph taken of each graduate. Information for the May 2023 Degree Celebration will be available in the Spring semester. Please continue to check back.
