Gabriela M. Galeano

Gabriela M. Galeano received her B.A. in Anthropology from George Mason University where she was an Undergraduate Research Scholars Program  (URSP) grantee and presented at national and university-wide conferences and symposia. Her interests include tourism and development anthropology; land ownership, conflicts, and dispossession; transnationalism; Afro-Caribbean identities; indigeneity; and Latin America.  She is currently researching land and tourism development among the Garifuna communities in her native Honduras.
